On a whole, books are usually far better than the series or movies made. We Were Liars is an exception to this! Even knowing the twist from the book, Amazon did this series a great justice. 🎬🎥

Had a really chaotic, difficult day at work and came home feeling all over the place so thought I'd unwind with some reading and a cuppa.... my favourite character just died 🥲🥲🥲🥲

We did some watercolour artwork this and wow! Wish I could take the credit but this was all down to youtube video of a skilled artist to help deliver the watercolour skills to the children.

I have finished my Masters dissertation (just proofreading to go), been on a gorgeous holiday to Madeira, a trip to London to watch Gatsby and caught up with friends and family. Now to relax and recharge ready for a new school year at a new school in a new year group!🤩

The first day back being Monday 1st September is absolutely beautiful. New week, new month, new academic school year and for me new school and new year group. What a day for new beginnings 😆

Incredible training today with Trauma Informed Schools UK - it should be statutory training for all educators! Always had a strong belief and passion for relational approaches but it was so interesting to learn about the neuroscience behind trauma and relationships. 💭

Perks of starting at a brand new school? Boxes on boxes of brand new books. I am in book heaven. 📚😍

The hardest part about moving year groups is all the new knowledge. After years in Y6, things like WW2, Tudors, past progressive, subjunctive mood, long division – no problem. But Y1/2? Phonics schemes with actions, letter formation rhymes 🤯 … and the Great Fire of London!😆

Petition for White Rose Education to release their PowerPoints with no animations and empty answer boxes (so I can write it in whilst teaching). Takes me soooo long to tweak the slides in a way I can smoothly teach from.

This morning I drove to the wrong school (my previous school and current school are in the same village). That sums up how tired I am feeling already 😆
