'A Serious Man' the boyhood story of Joel and Ethan Coen was almost shot in Michigan. They had a Tax Credit and tried to lure the film there. We shot in Edina, Bloomington, Taylors Falls, St. Paul and Minneapolis. Good will, jobs and cash can be ours. A Tax credit $25M works.

Sam Raimi and Bill Paxton filmed ‘A Simple Plan’ in Minnesota. It was headed to Canada when the Minnesota Film Board created the first incentive in the U.S. to bring the film here. It works. We need $25 mil Tax Credit per year to bring back this lucrative industry.
