Everyone thinks innovation is just ignoring industry-specific regulations so they can move quickly. You have to understand the limitations and be creative, ignoring constraints isn't innovative, it is stupid.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library ran this ad in the Carroll County Times yesterday opposing a book ban in schools. The Pratt Library stands against censorship. Anyone in MD can get a Pratt Library card, and we carry all 10 of the most challenged books in the United States.

The thing about safe consumption sites is that when you don’t have them it doesn’t mean people don’t do drugs, it means people who use drugs (who come from every single walk of life) are more likely forced to use in unsafe sites, & those unsafe sites already exist all around us.

Agree with the spirit of this but not the content. It makes no practical sense to have another place for these, libraries have the infrastructure, trust, and shrinking physical collections they must adapt to community needs. Add more / appropriately trained staff to the library.
