School Boards, stop whining about literacy scores and start managing the superintendent. Make 'Literacy Improvement' part of the Sup's formal evaluation. Factor in survey data from educators about preparedness, materials, management, usability, and alignment. Do. Your. Job.

My district provides $150 a year to each SLP for therapy materials. That’s it. SDI for 45+ students. The rest is purchased by us. My husband: are we even making a profit from your job. Me: 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just want more than $150 a year to buy materials to provide individual SDI for 45+ students.

I knew that Speech and Language Therapy recruitment was bad, but the figures quoted here are astounding.
