A hundred years ago, Canadians Fredrick Banting, Charles Best, and James Collip discovered insulin. When they received a US patent, they sold it to the University of Toronto for $1. When asked why, Banting said: “Insulin does not belong to me, it belongs to the world.” 🇨🇦 🌎

These young men battled it out over the last 4 days to get a chance to represent their home town. Without coaches or prompting, they shook hands after the final tryout. That's what Canadian hockey is about. I am so proud. Hockey Canada

Please ignore the language and American content. You shouldn't have to stretch too far to understand how this also applies to many Canadian citizens today.

Peter Davies is a 100-year old who volunteers his time to teach elementary schoolchildren to read. The UK government recently gave him an award. This was his reaction. Maybe give yourself a minute...

I don't post about much these days, but being an Vancouver Canucks fan is on pause. Please, always give people the opportunity to keep their dignity when tough decisions need to be made.

I am 43 years old. My wife and I started dating 27 years ago today; we have been married for 21 years. I am so grateful that she has put up with me for this long. Seriously.

Great stuff! We are starting local; big Walk About Wed tomorrow with a trip to city hall, yards and a meeting with the mayor. No Buzz Lighting quote...yet.

When you spoke with our leadership group last week, I asked it, "Think like a principal. How is coaching different from providing mentorship?" The answer may as well have written your presentation.

I challenged my class to run a one night only, healthy pop-up restaurant. They served 75 people an appie, main dish with side salad, desert, and education about why each part of the meal was healthy. They made it in one day, in a kitchen the size of a bathroom, and made money.
