A release of two halves in the monthly UK GDP. The good news is v decent growth of 0.7% QoQ in the three months to August.. BUT all the growth in June & July. Growth stalled in August - consistent with a wider basket of activity data.

The value of construction contracts in October was still higher than in the 1st half of 2018 but it has been falling since August & given the current uncertainty expect to see further falls in new contract awards (except for housing & warehouses) in November.
