When flying the -8 I enjoy the flexibility that the 3 multi-function displays (MFDs) afford me in the way I choose to display relevant information during the all important pre-flight procedure. During fueling I like to have my MFD on the fuel synoptic so I can monitor the fueling

Last Miami-Manaus-Quito-Miami run for the month. Laying over in Quito tonight and looking forward to a juicy steak at Tributo! Beautiful day here, en route, in Manaus and in Quito too!

That’s a wrap! Back in Quito, engines off and parking brake set after a long day. Then two hours later? Enjoying a delicious steak with my First Officer Al. Good flight, good company, good conversation, good food… What else could you ask for?

It’s 32 °C with an 87% relative humidity factor in the middle of the Amazon rainforest at high noon in the summertime… You try looking pretty in uniform… Not happening.
