Led by Satoka Fujimoto and with Brian Russ and Helen Mayberg, MD our first paper on the effects of deep brain stimulation in the brain. What’s exciting is that we find it induces white matter remodeling in specific tracts. Friedman Brain Institute biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Grateful to be an audio editor for these interviews to champion women’s experiences in neuroscience! I really enjoyed Bing Wen Brunton episode, #99 for her sincere and candid conversation!
This was my 1st time leading a #GRC Power Hour & it was AMAZING! I didnt know it could be this good!!! Maybe its the #favoritismfairy in me, but Shansky Lab is an absolute #genius for bringing in a dedicated human w/ experience in #JEDI to transform the power hour! #blackinneuro
Poor physical health is associated with depression. Yes, we know. But how so? Our new study Nature Mental Health reveals integrated pathways that explain the interplay between brain, body, lifestyle and their collective influence on mental health. nature.com/articles/s4422… 🧵1/7
