Yesterday I wrote a couple thousand words after working out why my story had stalled (my characters’ reactions weren’t organic to the situation but were being forced for the plot). Since I corrected that yesterday, the words today have been flying! 6,000 words and still going!

Today’s glimpse into my life as an editor: Line edits for a 95k-word manuscript completed (freelance work). ✔️ Two editorial meetings attended for my 2025 anthology. ✔️ Five developmental editorial letters written for the 2025 anthology.✔️

I find it wild that with my trad published books I don’t make any changes to the manuscript for like 9 months before they publish, but with my indie books? Well, I’m still making tiny tiny tiny changes four days before they publish.
