Happy to share Christine Kriebisch's work in Nature Chemistry! Origin of life research tests how biomolecules like RNA emerge from pools of molecules. The problem is that RNA is unstable. We built a model and tested production and protection of such molecules. nature.com/articles/s4155…

Our teaching labs Chemistry at York freely share all of the instructional videos made for our undergraduates on YouTube. The most viewed have accumulated >50k views. It's now a serious leading online resource for chemistry lab techniques. University of York youtube.com/@ChemTL/videos

We just concluded our annual group retreat in the scenic Allgäu with the group of Robert Mayer and part of the @MutschlerLab! Thanks both for a great workshop on NMR and DNA!

I'm super happy to see online our latest paper in collaboration with Job Boekhoven! We coupled peptide-based coacervates formation with the ACA reaction cycle - offering a new versatile approach toward synthetic life. Pumping molecules without a pump? Back-to-back with Job Boekhoven, we describe minimal systems that use chemical energy (via catalysis) to transport molecules against a concentration gradient. Us: shorturl.at/smQNF Job's team: shorturl.at/zftps 🦋for details &🧵
