The #NIL bill by Lori Trahan gets it right. Athletes would control their NIL without restrictions, keep their deals private, states can provide more rights, and there's a path to collective bargaining. No NCAA antitrust immunity. No surveillance state. This is the standard.

Generally, snapping pics of strangers is weird, anti-social behavior BUT I suppose if you're going to do it..."yassification" helps.

If Van Epps had to wait for his House swearing-in as long as Rep. Adelita Grijalva D-AZ did, then the Tennessee Republican wouldn't take the oath on the House floor until Jan. 21 of next year.

110% true. She thinks she’s a victim in all this. She’s not. I really long for the day I never hear her name again. The writing was never even good, folks 😅

The SCORE Act was pulled from consideration because it simply didn’t have the votes, a clear sign that Members on both sides saw it for what it was: a gift to the NCAA and Power Two conferences at the expense of athletes. This bill would have imposed new restrictions on athletes

In wake of the SCORE Act vote postponement, Rep. Lori Trahan tells Yahoo Sports from the Capitol that it's hard for people to "stomach" a bill that restricts or caps athletes' NIL compensation when coaching buyouts are "not addressed." So far this year, $228M spent on buyouts.
