I sent my first query in 2007. Got an agent in 2009. Sold my 1st book in 2011. Didn't quit my day job until 2016. Hit the NYT list for the first time in 2019, with book #9. Then in 2020 with #11. Then last night with #12. There's no such thing as overnight success. Keep writing.
