Once a cow has given birth to her calf they separated so we can have all her milk. She reacts as any mother would: trying to get her baby back, grieving, lashing out. Cows & calves have been known to cry for weeks 🐄

This is a "spiked mouth block." 😱 It's designed to wean the calf by being so painful for the mother #cow that she'll push her baby away to avoid the pain. The welfare of farm animals in today’s industrialized system is not a priority to those who view them as only profits. 💔
