Since the United States and Vietnam launched our Comprehensive Partnership ten years ago, our relationship has grown stronger. We're cooperating on priorities like inclusive economic prosperity, combatting climate change, a secure and open Indo-Pacific, and people-to-people ties.

Thank you for the warm welcome, Vietnam. I know this will be a historic visit.

It was great to speak with you, General Secretary. As I said earlier, Vietnam and the United States have an enormous opportunity to be critical partners. I know we can achieve the aspiration both countries share for a future of greater peace, security, and prosperity.

Moving towards a stronger future together! During the Regional Ambassadors Conference, I had the honor of hosting CDA Michael Klein, AMB Marc Knapper, U.S. Ambassador Dean R. Thompson, and U.S. Chief of Mission Cambodia at the U.S. Army Pacific HQ to discuss how we can - together - uphold a #FreeandOpenIndoPacific!

While in New York City for the US-ABC Ambassador Tour, the U.S. Ambassadors to 🇻🇳, 🇵🇭, 🇲🇾, and 🇱🇦 highlighted our strong and durable ties with ASEAN in meetings with NYC Mayor's Office Deputy Mayor Maria TorresSpringer, Asia Society NY, Columbia University, Council on Foreign Relations, and NYU Stern.
