2/22: Marie Brown 1922-‘99 Living in Queens, with a high crime rate at the time, Brown was aware of the security risk faced. As a nurse and her husband a technician, the two created a home security system for more protection. The invention laid the groundwork for our systems now.

2/27: Henrietta Lacks 1920-‘51 Lacks’ cells were sent off for testing as she was being treated for cancer. They discovered her cells were unique, the cells double every 20-24 hours. Her cells are currently used to study radiation, poisons, vaccines, etc, without her consent.
