#ESOC2019 The number of people with stroke is estimated to increase by 27% between 2017 and 2047 in the EU. Improved life expectancy and prevention strategies will result in increased prevalence/burden of stroke in Europe, particularly in Eastern European countries.

IPD meta-analysis suggests that lower achieved BP and reduced BP variability improve outcomes after ICH. Large, early reduction (first hour) could be harmful. Careful, sustained and targeted BP reduction is key. #ESOC2019

#ESOC2019 Presidential symposium: Pooled analysis of INTERACT 2 and ATACH ll suggest the following for SBP: careful lowering in the first hour, less variability and target reductions to 120-130 mmHg
