That was nerve wracking, but nothing like the fear of violence when an England game is played, let alone a tournament like the Euros. It is time to show violence against women and girls the red card.

Here we go again, the rollercoaster that is watching the England men’s team in the Euros. The other rollercoaster is the fear of violence from partners in direct response to the game. We men need to step up and show this violence the red card.

In a dramatic, last minute turn of events, England have reached the final of Euro 2024 ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 While football itself isn’t responsible for domestic violence, heightened emotions and increased alcohol consumption often result in a surge in reports.

While the excitement mounts for the game, countless numbers of partners and children are living in fear of the consequences of the outcome. We men have to stand up against male violence against women and girls and show these behaviours the red card.
