“Growing up being an athlete, your sport becomes your identity. In college I realized basketball wasn’t who I was, it was something I did.” As early as possible, we need to make sure young people know the difference.

Now we have a very interesting situation. Prange's hit that was ruled a home run was pretty clearly not a home run when looking at the replay. Missouri played it live, but when Alabama players ran on the field to celebrate the homer nothing could be done.

Upperclassman-Your job is to be a leader! Help the younger guys! Your role is NOT, I repeat NOT to be the cool guy that makes the underclassman's lives miserable. Represent yourself, your parents, your coaches, and your program the RIGHT WAY!

You can buy your kids a phone; pay for college, a car. You can buy sporting equipment & uniforms, but you can’t buy their success. If they want it, they will have to work for it & earn it. Success isn’t easy. It’s gritty & hard. The price is a lot of extra work, trials & failure!
