My teenage goddaughter who is hoping to be a doctor asked why I never wanted to specialise or was it that I couldn’t so I became a GP? I’m a GP by choice. GPs are specialists in risk management and communication. I’m privileged to share in so many peoples lives. #teamGP ā¤ļø

Can you spot it? When Royal Navy pilot Lt Cdr Rory Cheyne flew this F18 past the UK's largest warship HMS Prince of Wales, he couldn't resist making the all-American Super Hornet a wee bit British for the briefest of seconds, in tribute. 🧵1/3

Scans never get easier & nor does waiting for the results. The anxiety was worth it this time. I've made it to another 5 years, clear after my 2nd recurrence of #breastcancer. I'm acutely aware that not everyone is as fortunate as this #breastcancerawareness feeling #relieved

Big thanks to Chair of the APPG Breast Cancer, Craig Tracey, for raising #EnhertuEmergency in parliament today. And for calling on NICE, @nhsengland, AstraZenecaUK, and Daiichi Sankyo UK to get back round the table and make the life-extending drug available on the NHS.

Routine screening can help find breast cancer early. The earlier breast cancer is found the more likely it is to be treated successfully. You can support NHS England's campaign by sharing and encouraging people you know to attend their appointment when invited.
