The AMP-UP program was *the* most helpful resource when I was applying for postdocs. I was so lucky to have Kaley as my mentor 🤩 I couldn’t have asked for a more patient, thoughtful and kind person to help me navigate the process 🥰 10/10 recommend ✨

Check out these globular cluster candidates in the Fornax field, discovered by Euclid. Thanks to its vast field of view and extensive sky coverage, we're unveiling more about these clusters than ever before! 🌌

It’s paper day! arxiv.org/abs/2408.13763 We characterise the local halo substructures (Thamnos and Sequoia) as part of the ChronoGal project by fitting their absolute colour-magnitude diagrams using CMDft.Gaia, obtaining age and metallicity distributions! 🌟

Paper summary!!! On Monday, Amanda Byström and I put out this cool work: arxiv.org/abs/2408.17250 selecting red giants stars out to 100 kpc using the Pristine survey's data release 1 and Gaia XP catalogues. Here is a short summary of this long (sorry!) paper 🥳

A cool trick I recently learned is that if you synch your overleaf to a dropbox account, you can make local changes and have them mirrored in your overleaf repository automatically. Handy when no WIFI, and also allows you to edit files in neovim locally if you are one to do so.

In 1716, English astronomer Edmond Halley noted, "This is but a little Patch, but it shows itself to the naked Eye, when the Sky is serene and the Moon absent." Of course, M13 is now less modestly recognized as the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules, one of the brightest globular

I'm back with another new Milky Way satellite galaxy from the DELVE survey! Introducing Aquarius III: arxiv.org/abs/2410.00981. We argue it's interesting because of its cold velocity dispersion + orbit which keeps it far from the disk plane --> formed in a very-low-mass DM halo?
