Teachers appreciate it when their administrator gives them the benefit of the doubt. And that’s one thing students always appreciate from their teachers.

I try to tweet about things that I value... things I believe. I think that when we are mindful of what truly matters to us, we are much more likely to find meaning in our day.

Some politicians are trying to get bonus pay for healthcare workers, which is great, but then teachers are expected to accept budget cuts and furlough days. Why aren’t more politicians speaking up for teachers? Teachers deserve full pay and bonuses too!

Reaching the “hard to reach” students is not about having the right strategy… it’s about having the right heart. It’s a passion for connecting with kids.

Educators have the mindset of whatever it takes, except when it comes to their own health. Maybe it’s time for that to to be the mantra for your own mental, emotional, and physical health. Whatever it takes!

Teachers… 10 years from now, students will remember your kindness more than your pedagogy. Principals… 10 years from now, teachers will remember your kindness more than your strategic plan.
