I hate to ruin your Thursday but this thread is grim reading if you are looking for better transport solutions for everyone in Cork. The worry here is this is just what @conndonovan9 thought of initially so bound to be more....

It is easy to forget how God awful Main Street was when it was configured like that. A hostile environment for anyone not in a car. A nice timely reminder @conndonovan9

Ballincollig Regional Park looked great this morning. The Lee had a fairly robust flow over the broken weir. You'd wish the council would fix it.

Shout out to the man who, whilst on RTE1 Liveline, said he was sorry for the background noise as his parrot was being bold....#liveline

Mark is an old friend. He got into cycling for his health and really connected with it. The circumstances of this incident are horrific. The driver fell asleep, the vehicle launched off the armco and came down on Mark in the cycle lane. He is a fighter but needs help #cycling

Travelled up to the office today in Dublin from Cork. There were fresh doughnuts so that was nice.. The Rolling Donut, would have taken a pic but too late....

Hhmmm. Great new store for Lidl Ireland in #Ballincollig. Shame the cycling parking isnt being taken care of. It's close to the entrance and covered up but large trolleys being dumped there make it unusable.

Staggering that this is acceptable and the 'official line' of an important body like the Health and Safety Authority the quotes from this official are unreal. #cycling #ActiveTravel Gone to Bluesky road.cc

More NIMBYism against active travel. This time raising safety concerns.... Meanwhile these estates are hemmed in by a traffic sewer which pretty much forces people into a car. #Ballincollig Cork Commuter Coalition

When you see it laid out like this you have to wonder how could this have been allowed to happen? Did the UK electorate collectively bump their head on the voting booths? (And still people 'back Boris').
