A Oaxacan band is playing in front of LA City Hall as part of a vigil organized by Councilmember Curren Price, who is calling for resignations of Nury Martinez, Kevin de León and Gil Cedillo. Martinez made racist slurs toward the Oaxacan community in Koreatown in the leaked tape.

Now that Nury is out, and Kevin and Gil are on the way out, every major piece of legislation about housing, homelessness and renters over the past few years has to be viewed with fresh eyes. Like redistricting, the legislative process that created those policies was poisoned.
