This afternoon, I joined Governor Kathy Hochul, Reverend Al Sharpton, and ChooseHealthyLife CEO Debra Frazier to discuss the racial health disparities we see in New York. The government, our church leadership, and those in health equity all have a role to play in lifting up our Black communities.

Governor Brian Benjamin joins Columbia University & Empire State Development to cut the ribbon on the FIRST IN THE NATION Linear Accelerator (LINAC) Booster, allowing us to more readily target and eliminate cancer cells before they spread.

NOW: I’m meeting with Mayor Mike Spano, Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard, and Violence Prevention Leaders from the lower Mid-Hudson region to discuss the major wins in our budget. Our investments will go to mental health infrastructure & community-based organizations fighting gun violence on the ground.
