Our school admin started Workshop Wednesdays. Teachers who have a skill, lesson, etc to share is given a sub for the day, and teaches the other teachers all day during their preps. It's nice to see that admin believe in their staff and value their skills. #hacklearning

A kid fell asleep during a quiz. I encouraged him to wake up and work, but he refused. At the end of the day, he asked if he could finish the quiz tomorrow. At first, I thought ABSOLUTELY NOT, but then I remembered that second chances are more important than proving my point.

My school just "pivoted" to online. Here's the message I sent to students: I'm here to support you however I can. Take care of yourself and your family first. Our class should not be your priority. Everything about this class is flexible. Whatever happens, we will work it out.
