After taking a long break from my studies, going to tentatively dip a toe back in today.

Early in my career, I thought "reading the literature" meant reading papers start to finish. In 1 hour, I read 2 papers. I now realize my approach to each paper depends on what I need to get out of it. In 1 hour, I might glance at 20 papers, read a bit into 5, and read all of 1.
