PLEASE HELP SAVE MY MUM’S LIFE — SHE IS IN THE ICU RIGHT NOW 🤲🏾 25–01–2026 My mum, Deaconess Grace Ebitanmi (Iya Beji), is currently battling for her life in the ICU.

On Thursday night, 15th January 2026, she suffered a second devastating fall (the second since last year). This fall triggered multiple, prolonged seizures and loss of consciousness. That same night, we rushed her to Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta,

and the next day she was transferred to General Hospital, Odan (CMS), where she remained until Sunday night, 18th January. By Sunday, the doctors were clear: she urgently needed Intensive Care. Sadly, the ICU at General Hospital, Odan was not functional.

Worse still, due to the ongoing public health sector strike and lack of ICU capacity, LUTH, LASUTH, and other government hospitals could not admit her. At midnight, with no public hospital willing or able to take her, we had no choice but to seek a private ICU.

After comparing the overwhelming costs across five different private hospitals, we settled for TopTee Medical Center, Aguda, Surulere, which required an immediate ₦1,000,000 ICU deposit and ₦100,000 for ambulance services.

I was coming back from court yesterday when I saw some policemen searching a group of young men by the roadside. All of them had been ordered out of their car, and it was obvious the boys were distressed. I stopped and approached them. When I asked the police what the issue was,

As at today, 30th January, 2026, her outstanding medical bill stands at ₦4,067,900 (Four Million, Sixty-Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred Naira). So far, we have been able to raise about ₦500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira).
