New wooden bollards are being installed to enforce Oxford’s Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, to replace the previous plastic bollards that were repeatedly vandalised. These photos show the new bollards on Crescent Road and Beauchamp Lane.

1/2 Quick story: being tired of encountering drivers parking in the bike lanes at each side of Pike & Boren on Capitol Hill and absolutely no response to reports/FIFI/etc from Seattle Department of Transportation, I did a little experiment a week ago by installing my own signs Cars in Bike Lanes Seattle #SEAbikes

Boy I sure am glad we clarified that everyone can drive on a Slow Street! Inclusivity is very important to us, it’s why we got rid of the “Local Traffic Only” signs, because nothing feels more inclusive to a mom biking with her kids than having to squeeze between seven cars!

Opinion: My thoughts on the cycling decline and a list of theories to explain it - Jonathan Maus gets (almost) everything off his chest about an issue he cares deeply about bikeportland.org/2023/04/05/opi…

General public comment: Members of Friends of Slow Lake Street and residents are here to speak for effective infrastructure to prevent through traffic. They offer sfnearmiss.com, a crowdsourced data dashboard of near misses b/w pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles.

We're excited to be heading to San Francisco to support #CitizenScience traffic data gathering on Slow Streets. Great article in The Frisc with more info on how communities can collaborate with transport authorities to improve their streets thefrisc.com/flustered-by-s…

Faster Safer Geary (@fast_safe_geary) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Improvements on Geary east of Stanyan gave us 18% FASTER 38/38R trips, and a SAFER road with 81% less excessive speeding. SFMTA's plan will extend these benefits from Stanyan to 34th and it's time to finish the job on a FASTER, SAFER, GEARY. 1/10 actionnetwork.org/letters/faster…

Favorite part of every Mexico City trip - cycling along a car-free Reforma The city 🚲 keeps it simple - no over-the-top programming, just streets empty of cars 👶 ensures it’s safe for all people, including children 💚 builds a regular cycling culture by doing it EVERY Sunday

If you thought the last two BART holiday sweaters were amazing, check out a preview of the 2023 sweater. It features blinking lights that move sequentially along a BART system map and a train horn that honks at the push of a button.🚄❄️

🗣️ Are you super plugged into public meetings in your city for transit and street safety projects? ✊ Would they be better if more people who take the bus or don't own a car showed up? Transit is working on something that might interest you! Drop me a line. DMs are open…

A week ago, a driver turning right at 4th/King killed for a four year old. Today at the vigil, SFMTA said it would take 3 weeks to do a “quick build” to make the intersection safer. That's too long to wait. So we did our own quick build tonight and closed one of the turn lanes
