if you are an agent/editor/beta/critique partner/reader, please, tell your writer when you like something sometimes highlighting what is working is as beneficial as explaining what is not

I love my opening pages, but I'm way too paranoid to share them on here. I'll just have to enjoy all the awesome posts from braver authors!

Ngl my morning was a bit rough, but I got an email that really turned my day around! This spooky MG has gotten more full requests than my YA, and it's making me think I might be doing something right this time!

There are agents I'd love to work with, and agents I'd LOVE to work with. Yesterday, I got an awesome email from two different LOVE to work with agents! I'm internally having an entire celebration right now

So everyone likes apples better than pumpkins, but which variety? Can we all agree red delicious are absolutely not delicious and their name isn't fooling anyone?

I didn't realize today was Friday the 13th. What a perfect day to send a few queries for my spooky MG! 🍃🍁🎃🍂 Or maybe I should work on my cozy witchy WIP...

I made sushi for the very first time tonight, and considering I modified it all for picky eaters, it turned out pretty darned okay! Check the Midwest sushi (aka ham rolls) in the middle 🤣

After spending all day in the kitchen cooking and baking and making things from scratch I realized, this is what I love and why it's the entire cozy vibe I'm going for in my current WIP. Bring on the cooler weather, I'm ready to write 🍃🍁🎃🍂

Finalizing my hobbit day menu today. Candle burning, apple picking plans in motion, thinking of all the good food to come....🍃🍁🎃🍂

If an agent opens at a no from one is a no from all agency, but they seem like a better fit than the agent who currently has your ms, is it poor form to pull and resubmit to the other agent? Or, do I hope they'll pass it on since they share work fairly often?

I recently did a pretty major revision on my YA based on some agent feedback suggesting more intensity, and I just got a personalized rejection describing my story as intense! Should I tag the agent who gave me the advice? I think she'd be proud.

I've had to take a break from writing (mostly good things!) and now I'm torn between finishing up the first draft of this cozy, witchy WIP, and playing with some of my picture book ideas! Or maybe a secret third option.

After querying two projects I've finally done it, I sent both to the same agent a few months apart. Oops. Both projects are in the famous maybe pile, so I'm nervous to reach out and rock the boat, but should I do it anyway? Or let it be? Thank you #writingcommunity for answers!
