The Li lab is so proud to celebrate our current members Lauren Fields and Michael, and our alumni Qing Yu and Jericha Mill for receiving Am Soc for Mass Spec 2025 Awards 🥳🥳🥳 We're looking forward to celebrating them at #ASMS2025 in Baltimore 🎉🎉🎉

The Li lab is excited and ready for #ASMS2025 🥳🥳🥳 Huge congrats to all of our lab members who have been awarded travel grants to attend this year's conference. Special thanks to UW-Madison Graduate School, UW-Madison Chemistry and UW-Madison Biophysics for their generous support ☺️☺️

Super congratulations, Qing! We are so proud of your accomplishments and look forward to celebrating at the upcoming Am Soc for Mass Spec meeting!

Last week we had the distinct pleasure hosting Yehia Mechref (Mechref Omics Lab (MOL)) for a seminar on glycoproteomics and multiomics profiling for biomarker discovery in traumatic brain injury. Both the students and faculty enjoyed stimulating discussions and fun interactions.

A new tissue expansion method developed by the Wang (meng wang) & Tillberg (Paul Tillberg) labs & the Lingjun Li lab UW–Madison enables scientists to use mass spec imaging to simultaneously detect 100s of molecules in single cells in intact tissues➡️ janelia.org/news/new-techn…

Exciting paper in Nature Methods that pushes the boundaries of MSI and spatially-resolved omics🥳TEMI reaches single-cell spatial resolution and enables the profiling of hundreds of lipids, metabolites, peptides, and N-glycans in complex tissue. Check out: rdcu.be/eiIWy

Curious why we're enthusiastic about studying 🦀🦞? Check out this critical review in ACSChemNeurosci special issue "Monitoring Molecules in Neuroscience 2024". Learning how invertebrate neuropeptides uncover fundamental principles in vertebrate systems pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…

Huge congrats to Julia for successfully passing her Thesis Background Exam 🎉🎉🎉 This is a major milestone of your graduate career and we can't wait to see your exciting research in the future! Our 2nd year UW-Madison Chemistry cohort is wrapping up the year strong 💪💪💪

We’re so proud of our incredible undergrads presenting at the 27th UW–Madison Annual Undergraduate Symposium today 🥳🥳 Sofia rocked her oral talk, and Krosta and Michael crushed it with their posters 🤓🤓Amazing work y'all! You make us proud 🎉🎉

Big news in ACS Analytical Chemistry Journals 🥳🥳 A novel ultralow-flow-rate DESI-MSI platform enables subcellular spatial resolution for in situ biomolecule mapping of single cells. No complex hardware or extensive sample prep needed‼️ Congrats leo_hua_zhang and all coauthors 🎉🎉 pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…

Check out our recent review on neuropeptide homology across animal phyla, now featured on the cover of ACSChemNeurosci special issue 🥳🥳🥳 Special thanks to UW–Madison School of Pharmacy Sally Griffith-Oh for creating this stunning cover art 🎉🦞🦀 ACS Publications #MyACSCover

Big congrats to our amazing lab members Shuling, Lauren Fields, Wenxin, and undergrad Sophia (a double award winner!!) for their outstanding recognition at the UW-Madison Chemistry Awards Ceremony 2025 🥳🥳 Very well-deserved for all of their hard work🎉🎉

Huge congrats to UW–Madison #ClassOf2025 🎉🎉🎉 We're so proud to watch our amazing lab members walk the stage. Cheers to Drs. Lauren Fields, Hannah Miles, Zexin Zhu, Malik Ebbini, Olga Riusech, and Zicong Wang for your hard work, big dreams, and bright futures ahead! 🍻🍻🎓🎓🍾🍾

Looking forward to an exciting #ASMS2025 and reconnecting with friends and colleagues Am Soc for Mass Spec ! #TeamMassSpec
