Today a primary school headteacher in my constituency shared the letter she’d sent to her MP about Free School Meals. It’s really powerful so I’m sharing an anonymised version with her permission. Heartbreaking and inspiring. Keep going Marcus Rashford, this matters.

The govt seem to need reminding that the money they spend doesn’t belong to them. It belongs to the people. We don’t want it spent on their stables, their swimming pools or their moats. We want it spent on children going without food.

We still have over 1 million mail ballots to count in Pennsylvania. I promised Pennsylvanians that we would count every vote and that’s what we’re going to do.

Democrats have won the popular vote in 7 of the last 8 presidential elections. That’s never happened before in US history. Maybe the problem is not that Democrats are out of touch with ordinary Americans but rather that America has a terribly unrepresentative political system
