In this afternoon's "Recycle a Device" club at school we swapped out a broken screen on a student's Chromebook giving it a new life, installed Windows and Ubuntu Linux operating systems, and swapped salvaged RAM from one laptop to another. I learned as much as the students.

Testing out making insoles for shoes from the openfootwear.com project to see if we could do this at school. First go at using contour cuts on my CNC router using EVA foam to test a soft material. #openfootwear

Looking at using the open footwear project as an option for product design students next year. Turns out EVA foam is perfect for prototyping shoe designs without the need for industrial skills and solvents.
