Last week the Everglades Coalition met with legislators from across the state to share our 2024 Legislative Priorities. We had 40 meetings and 25 drop-offs, reaching a total of 65 offices in just one day! Photos 1-2 by Federico Acevedo, Tropical Audubon Society.

We had a successful field season sampling across the range for larvae of the #imperiled Santa Cruz long-toed salamander and gathering data on their preferred habitat characteristics! Another good year for breeding in a decent number of ponds! #conservation

A brief clip of a nearly metamorphosed California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) underwater. Due to the habitat these live in where the water is usually extremely murky - I believe my footage might be the 1st hi res clips of this species UW in their habitat.
