After a great time of one year, one week, and one day, I'm leaving #ibm research and it's great campus for new opportunities. Thanks to my the great colleagues and especially Teodoro Laino Federico Zipoli
Two post-doc positions for computational physicists/computer scientists available EPFL in Nicola Marzari's group. Positions are renewable yearly, now funded for 3 years. Work from PSI Paul Scherrer Institut may be possible. All the details here: nccr-marvel.ch/news/announcem… Pls RT.
Mark your calendars for the next instalment of the #CECAM/NCCR-MARVEL Classics in molecular and materials modelling: "Fluid Phase Equilibria by Computer Simulations" with Athanassios Panagiotopoulos & Dominic Tildesley, on Dec 9, at 15:00 CET. More info: cecam.org/lecture-detail…
A simultaneous 30°C anomaly in the Arctic and 40°C anomaly in the Antarctic, among the most terrifying events scientists have recorded, was a footnote in the bulletins. One celeb slapping another: headlines everywhere. This is the way the world ends, not with a bang but a bant.
It has been close to three years since I joined IBM Research in Zurich. What a ride it has been! In this period, I focused on developing AI models for tasks related to chemical reactivity and creating the first cloud-based, AI-driven autonomous synthesis robot, RoboRXN. (1/5)
Nice work Boris Kozinsky Simon Batzner . Uncertainty is the next big thing, who needs an accurate model if you don't know when it goes bananas. Happy to see the plots of PPV and TPR, it's a nice way to show the degree of confidence in one figure.
Former MARVEL member Leonid Kahle, now with Materials Design, will give a series of webinars this week on "From the Femtoscale to the Mesoscale and Back". Presentation and live Q&A on various days and times. Info and registration 👉 materialsdesign.com/post/webinar-f…
