While I am still waiting in decades of inhumane green card backlog. I see physicians those came to the US a decade after me received their green card and many already citizens. I can’t change where I was born. US must stop country of birth discrimination in 2023. Happy New Year!!

U.S. Embassy India U.S. Consulate Mumbai U.S. Consulate Kolkata U.S. Consulate General Chennai U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad USAID India First fix the visa backlogs for India...then talk about something called “relationship”. Non-immigrants in greencard backlog awaiting for more than a decade, now for getting visa to travel to home country is tough. Either start stamping within the USA or increase slots. Period

Sam Peak Most of them likely became citizens as soon as they completed 5-6 year stay in the US. While others that probably waited 15-20 years to get to this point. And even more that may not ever get to this point thanks to country caps and undocumented status.

US-India Strategic Partnership Forum Lalit K Jha ललित के झा Yea, great milestone. Indians were de facto banned from entering and re-entering the US due to soft travel ban in the form of unavailability of H visa appointments. And these people have to be on H visa because Indians are again de facto banned from getting Green Cards.

At what point will Senator Dick Durbin see the inhuman Greencard backlog and make a move to bring about change? Haven't we heard enough air talk? Can we actually get it done? #GCBacklog #EAGLEAct

President Donald J. Trump I've been living and working legally in the US on an H1b visa since 2007, paying my taxes and contributing to society. But despite my efforts, my family and I are still waiting for green cards due to the massive backlogs.

Get ready to lose a whole lot of business if this continues! It’s the 21st century get with the program. Star Alliance #endracism #inclusion

Poe Sam Peak My ability to take risks, work for start ups is all gone due to uncertainty of the H1B where despite being approved a green card, we'll not get one and we can be deported anytime. So, sticking to my employer for years & being an obedient cog in the wheel.

President Donald J. Trump #EAGLEAct which will remove Jim Crow Era national origins caps was passed by both the House & Senate in 2020, was killed by Democrats in 2022. This is a simple change which will remove last vestiges of racism & also relieve a lot of people from suffering.

So many people around the world look to the United States for opportunity – and a legal pathway to get there. Congress has failed them for too many years. It’s time to live up to our promise of opportunity for ALL.
