Mullard EL38 / 6CN6 vacuum tube

Ancient RCA USN CRC 874 voltage regulator. Technically not a vacuum tube as is filled with low pressure inert gas. This one is gorgeous. The gettering covers ever inch of the envelope so it's a mirror.

Chatham 2399 vacuum tube under test this morning. A 2399 is essentially a 5998 which is the same thing as a Western Electric 421A. Have to love it when people discuss sonic differences between tubes that are actually the same just having different labels.
