"Imagine an application that would normally take 1 hour to run on a single machine… What if instead you could spin up 3600 lambdas that each run for one second to return near instantaneous results" 🤯 - Prof Keith Winstein of Stanford University davidwells.io/blog/rise-of-e…

I've created a new tool to make it super easy to copy to/from your EFS filesystems, without messing around with mounts and VPC tunnelling and stuff. Check out cmda! github.com/lambci/cmda

With the release of aws-lambda-builders 1.0, the docker-lambda build images have been updated 🎉. They also now use pipx for global python binaries. If you run into troubles, the old images are at lambci/lambda:20200719-build-${RUNTIME} github.com/lambci/docker-…

What's extra nice about this is that Cloud Run lets you use mem as disk space – which is huge for many workloads (including serverless CI!) Cloud Run is looking better at running LambCI than Lambda is rn 🙊

So literally the second it ticks over to my birthday, I'm giving a talk at AWS re:Invent 🎉 Which I've never been to. Because it always falls on my birthday. Tune in to see a sneak peak of GitHub Actions running on Lambda with LambCI! 👀🐑 virtual.awsevents.com/agenda

Grab a sneak peak of GitHub Actions running on Lambda in my re:Invent dev chat which is now live. Things have been a little chaotic recently (thanks us-east-1), so the project's not quite ready for public consumption. But soon! 🤞 virtual.awsevents.com/media/1_i4ejuc…

LambCI launched mid-2016: it's fascinating to read back and see what's changed (and how little hasn't) since. At the time I wrote "the future of serverless ops is bright". With the launch of container images and huge compute, this is even more true now. hichaelmart.medium.com/lambci-4c3e29d…

We're going to see a plethora of existing ops/CI tools become Lambda compatible, as well as completely new tools that highlight how low the barrier to entry is now. The future of serverless ops is bright.
