This is our chance to speak up for millions of acres of wild, roadless lands. We’ve put together an action alert with background, guidance, and another avenue for engagement: johnmuirproject.org/take-action/#/…

Protect Roadless Areas! Tell Sec. Rollins to stay the fuck off our #publiclands. USFS can’t even maintain the roads they already manage. Building new roads will INCREASE danger, as most human-caused fires start within a few yards of roadways. Stop the ecocide. Harden communities.

Visual simulation of what the Soda Mountain Solar Project would look like. One - Zzyxx Road in the Mojave National Preserve. Two, from Mojave National Preserve. This would be 3 square miles of solar panels and new transmission. energy.ca.gov/.../soda-mount…

CDFW says they still plan to euthanize Hope, shown here playing with her cub Bounce. Please keep calling. Thanks to the BEAR League volunteer who allowed me to share his video taken while keeping her safe and out of trouble. Please see their FB page for more! #tahoe #nature

Instead of euthanizing Hope, residents need to be better educated. Hazing works and saves the lives of these beautiful creatures. We can’t keep going backwards and use death as a tool for a bear being a bear. The BEAR League is amazing with their efforts.

The U.S. Forest Service calls it forest health. But standing here feels like grieving at a gravesite. The life that once filled this forest is already gone, and what remains is a tinderbox for the fires to come.

Save Hope! Tell California Department of Fish and Wildlife that our bears are not the problem, negligent humans are! #Bears #NatureIsAmazing #momlife

With their leaves and needles, the trees act like giant filters. One ha. of beech forest can filter around 70 tons of dust out of the air every year, a ha. of spruce forest as much as 30 tons. In addition trees produce oxygen. Forests and parks as "green lungs" are important.🌳🌲

Supposedly these “thinning” projects are to keep communities safe. Habitat and natural food destroyed and we are much LESS safe. Not to even mention that this project was completed by remote operated “Burnbot” bulldozers. We need #infrastructure NOT #ecocide. #deforestation
