Philippine Labor Movement Archive will be at NO art space to open the photo exhibit Paggawa ng Alaala, Alaala ng Paggawa later at 4pm. The exhibit will feature photographs of workers' struggles during the Marcos Sr. dictatorship and the present-day Marcos Jr. admin. The show will run until Aug 5.

Our film we're producing, "Invisible Labor" is thrilled to be chosen by the Tan Ean Kiam Foundation - Singapore International Film Festival - Southeast Asian Documentary Grant! This project is borne out of the efforts of the Philippine Labor Movement Archive, and is directed by Joanne Cesario.

During Martial Law, it was the workers who launched waves of protest until the larger mass movement was able to oust a dictator. A young journo was then tasked to cover the workers' struggle for Bagwis, a labor-centered newspaper. Watch his story here: youtube.com/watch?v=nZYHWw…
