I've always loved the perfectly engineered "speedway" design of Sunset Blvd. thru Hombly Hills between Carolwood Dr. and Charing Cross Rd., which had humble origins as a remote dirt road. Below, the same stretch of Sunset just past Carolwood, facing west, 1925 vs. now.
