This is kettling - a tactic used by police to detain people in an area by surrounding a group so they can't leave. It dehumanises people, closing them in ‘like animals’ and if used for a prolonged period, denies people access to food, water, relief facilities etc. #KilltheBill

We have to question why the police used a tactic that risks people's health, by not allowing adequate social distancing, given that the reason they appeared at College Green was under the guise of covid health regulations. #KilltheBill

1/2 Today 2 CR volunteers were out on the cliffs. They were observing a small boat in the Channel which they realised was heading towards some rocks. Luckily they were able to guide the people on board (inc. 2 small children) towards a safe landing place on the beach.
