Some of our new S2 scientists are taking part in the #EnergyQuest workshop today. The first stage was a task to discover their inner engineer. 👷‍♂️💡

Our #EnergyQuest challenge today is to generate electricity to power a mobile phone! 📱 ⚡️ Our first attempt it to try using a copper wire and a magnet. 👀🧲

Next we are using an orange, nail and coin! 👀🪙🍊

Amazing team work as we combined the orange battery cells together to turn on an LED light! 💡🤩 #EnergyQuest

We were thrilled to have the fantastic opportunity to talk about the Young STEM Leader Programme with our visitors from South Korea! 🇰🇷Miss McDee and 2 of our current YSLs spoke about our schools journey and the events they have led so far!🤩

Our KHS Young STEM Leader team did a fantastic job of building STEM capacity in fellow YSLs Gartconner Primary this afternoon by training them to deliver a lesson on germs for the P4 class! Great work from both sets of YSL! 👏 #stem #kirkyproud KHS-STEM
