If you’ve never done formal training on developing classroom assessments, you will definitely get a lot out of this one. Hope to see you in June!

A great option for instruction/formative assessment on extended-writing, in any genre. Our team works with yours to ensure strong writing instruction continues to happen in 2020-21, whether face-to-face, digital, or both.

Like you, our team continues to rethink extended-writing instruction and formative assessments for 2020-21. Early-year collaborations with districts have been so encouraging. We'd love to team up! Info on retooled lessons, formative assessments, and PL: gca.coe.uga.edu/pl/

If you're in the metro Atlanta area (or can be in June), I promise these will be a good use of your time. Or, I'll buy you a copy of your favorite beach book to compensate! Would love to see you all this summer!

Stop by for a chat at GAEL on 7/11-12. We've expanded our 360Writing frameworks for 2022-23. Lots of new step-by-step features. Tons of flexibility. Tight alignment to the GSE.

Great session CPRESA Communication on 9/22. We focused on exercises for helping students elaborate on textual evidence. Step 1: Pose question(s) about the evidence (see green in picture). Step 2: Answer the question(s), thus elaborating on the evidence more effectively.

Excellent work by K-5 teachers CPRESA Communication on 9/21. We created brief writing activities as a means of teaching the higher-order thinking that select science and social studies standards require. We use writing as a means of teaching content!

Lots of great work with students at Len Lastinger in Tift County Schools late last week. We co-constructed the first few parts of a narrative based on a non-fiction text. Students then finished on their own. Experiencing success and confidence by following the writer's process!
