In the spirit of "this talk could've been a tweet", I just pushed a button: #BinDiff is now open source. - Snapshot release, no major new functionality - Release binaries later today or tomorrow - This is my 20% and I won't we able to act on PRs until end of Q4 (OOO traveling)

Friday was my last day at Trenchant/Azimuth. It has been an epic journey (when eta Netflix series) where I’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredibly talented people. A very special thanks goes out to John McDonald and mdowd who decided to give this Norwegian guy a chance.

I wrote post about Reinforcement Learning (RL) using TensorFlow (in NodeJS). I go though building a little terminal game and architecting a training environment to teach a neural network how to play 🤖📷 Blog: knifecoat.com/Posts/Solid+Bl… GitHub: github.com/FuzzySecurity/…

So far GLM 4.5 (Air) is my favorite local model for code auditing tasks. It's really good at instruction following and handling long context prompts. gpt-oss 120b is good too, but reasoning effort has to be set to Medium (e.g. LM Studio sets it to Low by default).
