I was excited when #WinterFieldDay announced last year it was under new management. I was hopeful they would take things in a better direction. But unfortunately that’s not happening & they let a complete asshole have access to their socials…. Just another contest.

It’s official. The 3rd Annual Wisconsin Ham Radio Campout was a success! Fun effect from this event. By midday Saturday while hunting other #POTA activators, when I gave my park number their reply was usually something along the lines of “I see you’re at the WI campout.”

Who needs a tiny QRP radio with a LiFePO4 battery when you have a rig like this, a hand crank generator, and two buddies to help you pack it? One of the many cool things I saw at the 2025 WI Ham Radio Campout.
