Woo hoo-just made my first #Genially for #JustMercy! It literally took me 4 hours after a 3.5 hr PD session in the AM. I still need to finalize grades, write letters of rec, & prep for a new quarter tomorrow. I'm technically part-time and exhausted. Full-time teachers=SOS.

"Collaboratively, we must start to address the systems that we have helped foster that have caused much of the stress in the first place." 👏 Teacher burnout is not self-induced. It is in response to external pressures & indicative of a larger systemic problem.

Listening to these strong women discuss challenging the traditional canon is so inspiring! So many good nuggets! "Why is it ok to teach kindness, but not antiracism?"👏

We have exceeded our fundraising goal of $100,000 for our Champions for Youth campaign and are blown away by the generosity of our supporters, but we still need 25 more donors to give $10 each to qualify for bonus funds from Farmers Insurance. Donate $10: charity.centuryclubsd.org/SDYS?

Don't judge them based on their inability to line up for a photo.😂Judge them based on the fact that they happily chose to take Ethnic Lit for the 1st time not knowing what would be in store. I could not have dreamed of a better group of young people to go on this journey with.❤️
