📈 Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy account for 14% of global maternal deaths globally - most are avoidable. 💉 MgSO4 is recommended for prevention & treatment of pre-eclampsia & eclampsia, & is effective, safe & low cost 🌍 MgSO4 remains underused, especially in LMICs

We used our QES findings to develop a series of questions to assist health systems administrators, policy-makers & other stakeholders to identify & address barriers to approporaite use of MgSO4: ⬇️

It's essential to understand why a problem exists if we are to solve it. Increasing appropriate use of MgSO4 for pre-eclampsia and eclampsia can save lives and improve health equity.
