My students are the best! I'm going to miss teaching Ecopoetics & Creative Writing Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf , but unfortunately (and despite students' initiatives) there was little support for the subject and working as an adjunct doesn't pay the bills. #creativewriting #IchBinHanna #postdoc

this is utter desecration. working in the arts & humanities right now is terrifying. constantly waiting for one’s subject to be ripped from the university. if you are not screaming about this at every opportunity & unionising, then wtf are you doing.

Unbelievable that people are still stuck on 'accuracy' when talking about translations. Another case of our 'gold standard' thinking. Something much more volatile and interesting is at play in the act of translation.
