🚨 New research! 🚨 Very cool results showing a method for locating + characterizing + intervening on memorized data in models (of all kinds, e.g. language & vision) Highly recommend reading this thread, then Jack Merullo 's thread, then the full paper for a deep dive

TensorFlow was all about making it easier for computers. PyTorch *won* because it was about making it easier for humans. It’s disappointing to see AI community focusing on what’s easiest for machines again (prioritizing AI agents & not centering humans). -- Jeremy Howard 1/

Can frontier language model agents replicate astrophysics research papers? Clearly not yet -- but models are slowly getting better! Excited to finally put out ReplicationBench, the work of an awesome team of astrophysicists from across Stanford's KIPAC, SLAC, and C4DU.

it's pretty easy to talk about how AI can or cannot change anything in any field. it's wayyyyyyy more difficult than anyone can imagine to answer this question (super painful!) and share truly useful (not anecdotal) knowledge with the whole community and society.

shady move by X. for those without context: >Selo created a mega-viral and profitable app that ranked users on X >interviewed at X, they ask him to explain the architecture of the app in extreme detail >interviewers seem super impressed, app is far from trivial and users really
