At the Barnard Vermont elementary school (K-6| 82 students) every child is issued her own five gallon bucket. They decorate them, store them by their desk, and then use them to sit outside for lunch and class. This is school ingenuity at its finest.

Leslie Hazle Bussey @AngelaStockman Jacquie Gardy Jill Jensen☮️ Paula Intravaia Ed Batista I take attendance every day using "Jam or Not a Jam." I play a song, and there's a Q in Google Classroom asking them if it's a Jam or Not a Jam. Gives us all 4 minutes or so to catch our breath, some music to vibe to, and a classroom culture builder. My fav routine. #dtk12chat

Started class today with a non-math q: is a burrito a sandwich? Then one S informed me of the “cube rule of food” and it became a mathematical question followed by a proof. Mind blown. #iteachmath

An educational resource I made for respecting ethnic names. I thought I’d create a shareable resource so that it can help people and empower.

Sharing a small good thing... I tossed some whole-faculty games on the board in our faculty room. It's been a blast! There are so few ways for teachers to connect with each other. The collegial competition has been a great form of connection! #vted We Are Woodstock! #EdLeader21

French is using the example of Woodstock Elementary School to talk about how it has come up with creative solutions to getting all students into school buildings so it can go more fully in-person.

Coolest teacher technology trick I learned this year? Adding the dash (-) between the “t” and “u” of any YouTube video and it takes away the ads and all of that. It’s super cool and makes the video less tacky.
